Our Story
Growing up in a Haitian household my family always saw Durags as something to be frowned upon. It was associated with violence and gangs while scarfs and head-wraps were deemed acceptable. As I grew older and I decided to fight that stigma and become a voice for my people. I wanted to show the world that a cloth on your head does not Dictate the kind of person you are. By promoting Durags as a fashion statement and spreading awareness about their intended purpose, to maintain moisture and lay down hair; I hope to change the stigma associated with our headwear.
